Good morning, PTBO! Winter made its entrance early this year - a little snow to remind us who’s boss. Hope everyone stayed safe on the roads and maybe even caught a few snowflakes on their way to work. The city’s starting to sparkle, and there’s plenty to look forward to as the season settles in.

In today’s PTBO Brief:

  • 🎖️ Remembrance Day City Service Hours

  • 🥍 Heartbreak for Trent Lacrosse

  • 🌊Coming Down The River

Let's get to it.

QUICK BITS

🥍 Heartbreak for Trent Lacrosse

What a game - and what a gut punch. The Trent Excalibur men’s lacrosse team saw a seven goal lead slip away as the Brock Badgers stormed back to win 13–12 in overtime at the Baggataway Cup. After dominating early behind hat tricks from Nick Fornier and Mason Tardiff, penalties gave Brock the opening they needed to claw back. A late equalizer and OT winner sealed it, ending Trent’s run in stunning fashion.

🎖️ Remembrance Day City Service Hours

Here’s what’s open and closed around Peterborough for Remembrance Day. City Hall, the Library, and the Art Gallery will be closed Tuesday, while the Museum and Archives open noon–5 PM. Parking’s free citywide, and Peterborough Transit runs its regular schedule (with brief parade detours 9:30–11:30 AM). The parade and service start at 10 AM in Confederation Square, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52.
